There’s nothing more cheerful
than hearing “Vivan los Novios!”
or “Long live to the Bride and
Groom!.” Let’s talk with Araceli, the
heart of Jazmin’s restaurant, her sales
manager Javier Gomez Bedolla, and
the head chef Carlos Arista Olvera, so
they can tell us what they have to offer
in their colorful venue.
Araceli, what inspired you to
begin the wedding events here at
Jazmin’s Restaurant?
“I think what inspired me was the passion
I have for gastronomy, the decor, along
with our restaurant gaining popularity
and evolving. Innovating has been very
important, in my eyes, it’s never a bad
time to try something new. I got the idea
after a friend of mine asked me to host her
wedding event. Everything turned out so
beautifully and perfectly which gave me
the passion to do it for others as well”
All I do, I do with all my heart and I give
thanks to God for the creativity He has
gifted me with.
“Also the demand of events has grown,
so we now offer to cater events in larger
venues, which has made us a versatile
choice in the wedding planning arena.”
What different sections do you
have in the restaurant and what’s
their capacities?
“We have the Terrace where we can host
small events of up to 15. It is a beautiful
area that overlooks the street. You can
enjoy the colorful banners and people
watch, especially on Thursdays, when
the Art Walk makes it highly requested.”
"Our Bar section seats 25 people, it is very entertaining, and customers
enjoy watching our Mixologists prepare rare artisan drinks"
“Our Patio seats 60 people, it is also our most popular section for weddings
especially, because it is nicely decorated with a Mexican background, lots of
greenery, and has 2 different levels that makes it feel authentic.
We also have an enclosed A/C saloon that hosts 80 people. It serves best for larger
events. The decor is dedicated to the Mexican Revolution with a ceiling full of
colorful Mexican garlands.”
Javier, tell us about the different
table arrangements you offer for
weddings!
“Most weddings we have at Jazmin’s are
traditionally Mexican but we’ve had all
kinds of theme requests. We have a wide
repertoire of props to choose from, but
Araceli and I love working with new and
unique wedding ideas!
Javier, tell us about the cocktail
pairings you offer with the
events
“We have all the Spirits there are, from
Mezcals, Tequilas, Rums, Whiskeys,
Vodkas, to Liqueurs, etc.
Our special cocktails are usually made
with the fruits in season! We even offer
family friendly mocktails.
"We also have wines and other rare
mixes we often garnish with edible
flowers that make them both attractive
and delicious."
Chef Carlos, what menus are
most requested for weddings?
“The majority are Mexican, we have the
taco stands and other service stands like
hand made tortillas, taquizas, and tacos al
pastor. We’ve made menus that include:
white and red meats, fish, and seafood,
but if they have any special requests.
"We’re pleased to adapt to the taste of
our customers"
Araceli, What are your near future
plans?
“At our sister restaurant, Tei Sushi, we
recently designed an expansion that now
includes a patio and an exterior seating
area. To celebrate the second anniversary
we are planning to add a wide variety of
ramen recipes and want to implement grill
tables where customers will be able to cook
meat cuts and shrimps at their own table.”
Well, amigos, we want to thank you for
having My Cabo Companion Magazine
today!
The truth is that Jazmin’s Restaurant
never fails to impress us for its beauty,
delicious food, and excellent attention
to detail. If I could recommend one place
in the Art District, it would have to be
Jazmin’s, especially on Thursdays during
the Artwalk (5:00-10:pm).
